Providing Hope In Every LoadTwo local friends, one a business man, the other a local pastor have partnered up to provide hope to the homeless community. WASHED was birthed during conversations DJ and Eric had after having completed other outreach programs for the homeless community. Their desire was to have a medium that would allow a consistent ongoing connection and platform to communicate love and hope to their community. DJ Rabe (pastor of The HOUSE Church) and Eric Hogan (owner of Westar Funding Inc, and Kingdom Asset Managment LLC) have united together to launch WASHED, a mobile laundry service that will soon serve homeless individuals within Snohomish County. With the first mobile laundry truck set to hit the streets this June, DJ and Eric have a big vision to expand this outreach. With the help of the local communities, DJ and Eric are poised to produce additional mobile laundry trucks to serve additional counties throughout western Washington. WASHED has networked with many other organizations that serve the homeless. The WASHED Mobile truck will be on location in strategic locations serving the homeless with a three-fold vision: Cleanliness, Conversation, & Connection.
1. Cleanliness To clean clothing and provide new & nearly new clothing to the homeless as needed.
2. Conversation To have conversations and engage with those most would avoid or ignore. Every homeless person has a name and a story.
3. Connection To connect homeless individuals with additional community services and/or organizations to help them move from day to day survival to a level of sustainability. WASHED currently operates under The House Church as a 501 c3 non profit organization and is a free, 100% volunteer-based community service. If you would like more information about the WASHED story, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, or how you can contribute financially to this great cause, we would love to hear from you.
